Safeguarding is the act of protecting individuals from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. It is a crucial concept in the healthcare, social care, and other sectors that work with vulnerable individuals.
This course aims to provide you with an understanding of the different types of harm that adults may be at risk of, and how to identify and report potential cases of abuse or neglect. You will also learn about your professional and legal responsibilities in relation to safeguarding, and how to support individuals to stay safe and maintain their dignity.
